Nineb - Scoliosis

AMS welcomes our newest patient to the United States!  Nineb, a 14 year old boy from Iraq, arrived on May 12th and will undergo scoliosis surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Los Angeles.  He is very excited to be in the U.S. and is acclimating quite well by visiting coffee shops, helping out at the AMS office, trying different foods and making new friends.  Nineb enjoys soccer, computers games, hanging out with his friends and going to school.  Many thanks to Youkie Khaninia for sending Nineb an e-reader!  He has been busy learning how to use all the features ever since it arrived.  Thank you Youkie!  AMS would also like to thank the Assyrian Church of the East for the lodging they have provided to Nineb and also all of the other patients that needed a place to live while undergoing treatment in Los Angeles.  We are very grateful for your charity and generosity.

Nahrin - Scoliosis

Nahrin has been released from her latest stay at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Los Angeles. She was admitted for emergency surgery to treat an infection and remained in the hospital for several days while she recovered from two operations. Her spirits were high even after the prolonged stay at Shriners. Her charm and personality made her very popular among the doctors and staff at the hospital. She puts a smile on everyone's face when she enters a room and everyone was happy to see again. AMS is happy to hear that she is recovering well and if there are no more complications, she will no longer need medical treatment.
